Hello friends. We finally have a new web site for our newly named society. Visit https://ujhs.org if you’d like to check it out. We haven’t loaded it with much new content yet, but you can come see our new design.
We’ve still got a bit more work to do on it. The member login section has not been tested so it’s not available yet, but that will come back again as soon as we can make it happen, probably after RootsTech.
Speaking of RootsTech, we have a few announcements there.
We hope our local members are planning to attend RootsTech in some form, which runs from this Thursday to Saturday, March 5-7. You can attend virtually for free, or attendance in person is available. Or you can try a hybrid version where you attend the sessions virtually from home but visit the in-person conference to be a part of the action. (Our president has done that a few times.) There are things to do in the Expo Hall, and that is free.
UJHS will have a booth (#1507) in the Society Pavilion at the Expo Hall this year. We could use some help manning the booth during RootsTech hours. We haven’t set up a formal schedule as of yet, but if you can help out even for an hour or two during RootsTech, that could be a great help. Just let us know when you can be there with a reply to this message, or send a message to president @ujhs.org.
After RootsTech, we’ll have a meeting, on Monday, March 16th at 7pm. Another notice about the meeting will go out later but you’ll know to watch for that.
One more reminder for our members. It is a new year and it’s time to pay your dues. Our dues is $20 for an individual per year or $30 per household. You can pay your dues online with a credit card via Square, or come visit us in person at our RootsTech booth, where you can pay by card, cash, or check.
Tonight begins the holiday of Purim, so Happy Purim! And we hope to see you at RootsTech!
